We have partnered with The Studer Group, a pre-eminent national consulting organization, to help us create and maintain a culture of service and organizational excellence.

We use an in-depth program to continually evaluate and improve customer, employee and medical staff satisfaction.

We have embarked on an aggressive overall quality improvement program focused on ensuring that the best possible clinical medicine is practiced in all medical disciplines at Altoona Regional. We have also joined the Institute for Healthcare Improvements 100,000 Lives Campaign , a national initiative for U.S. hospitals committed to improving patient care and preventing avoidable deaths.

We are pursuing Magnet Status – the highest award an organization can receive for nursing care. Magnet hospitals are the gold standard by which nursing and patient care are measured in the U.S.

We are always considering new services in response to our community's needs.
