UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for Medical Oncology Patients Officially Opens in Altoona
WHAT: Public open house, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
WHY: UPMC Hillman Cancer Center has opened a newly expanded $6.8 million medical oncology facility in Altoona. Formerly known as Blair Medical Associates Hematology/Oncology, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is part of UPMC Altoona. The expanded treatment area and physician offices increase patient comfort and convenience with an expanded infusion center that allows loved ones to spend time with the patient during treatment. The new facility includes on-site laboratory and pharmacy, dedicated parking, additional physicians and staff to ensure continued high-quality cancer care in the Altoona region.
