Honor/Memorial Gifts
A gift made in someone's memory or honor is a meaningful way to mark a special occasion or to remember a beloved family member, friend or colleague. If desired the Foundation for Life will send your honoree or his or her family a letter acknowledging your generosity. We also offer opportunities for named endowment funds.
Planned gifts
With a planned gift to Altoona Regional, you can ensure the well-being and safety of your family, friends and neighbors - now and for years to come.
You may make a bequest to Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life in your will itself or by adding a codicil to your present will. Bequests to Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life may be of cash, securities or other property. Bequests of all sizes are welcome, whether they are outright, contingent or residual. If you wish to specify how your bequest should be used, please contact Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life at (814) 889-6406.
When you decide to make a bequest to Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life, the following language may be useful to your attorney:
Specific Bequest - "I give Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life, Altoona, PA 16601, the sum of $________ [to be used by that organization for its general purposes or you may specify the purpose].
Residual Bequest - "I give Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life, Altoona, PA 16601, _____ percent of the residue of my estate [to be used by that organization for its general purposes or you may specify the purpose]."
Contingent Bequest - "In the event that ____________________ predeceases me, I give Altoona Regional Health System Foundation for Life, Altoona, PA 16601, the sum of $ _____ (or, alternatively, ______ percent of the residue of my estate) [to be used by that organization for its general purposes or you may specify the purpose]."
Gifts in kind
You can support Altoona Regional through the donation of items and supplies for programs, services or fund-raisers. There are restrictions on what we can accept. Contact our office to determine if your gift is permissible.
Foundation grants
Altoona Regional proudly welcomes support from local and national family, private and community foundations. Foundation grants support many of our outstanding programs, ranging from patient care to research, as well as capital improvement projects.
Other ways to give
- If your company sponsors matching gift programs, complete and sign a matching gift form and send it with your gift.
- Gifts of stocks, bonds and property are welcome.
