Enhancing Community Health Care
Altoona Regional Health System's Facility and Service Enhancement Project is nearing completion. Click on the links below to learn more about our projects under construction.
Altoona Regional at Station Medical Center
This new patient care site includes a full outpatient imaging center with two MRIs, a CT, five ultrasounds, three digital mammography units and general radiology rooms; six-bed sleep lab, neurology testing, blood/lab draw stations, occupational medicine (HealthForce), physical medicine (physical therapy), cardiac rehabilitation and surgical pretesting.
Altoona Hospital Campus
Several patient care enhancements have taken place at our main hospital campus, the largest being upgrades to our Emergency department and Radiology areas, increasing ER bays from 28 to 52 and reducing waiting times and holds. In addition, we will be adding more inpatient beds, two new cath labs and five new inpatient dialysis treatment bays, and will also be renovating the laboratory for peak efficiency and faster processing of specimens.
G Building (former Altoona Center)
This new patient care site includes inpatient and outpatient behavioral health; wound care, hyperbaric and ostomy services; information technology staff and data center, charge integrity staff, central scheduling staff, printing services and new classroom space, connected to our main complex with an enclosed walkway.
