Holiday Campaign: Revealing the Angels

Friends of Altoona Regional has begun its Revealing the Angels Holiday Campaign. This annual fund-raiser is a way to help our community by recognizing an angel and making a donation to help others without health insurance.

In addition to remembering deceased loved ones, you are invited to recognize those who interact with us daily and touch our lives and hearts. You can honor your child's teacher, a babysitter, nurse, physician, uncle, aunt, paper delivery person – anyone who has made your day brighter or had a positive influence on your life.

Ornaments will be placed on holiday trees at both hospital campuses of Altoona Regional. A ceremonial tree lighting and honor board will recognize all "Angels." Donations received by Nov. 20 will be placed on the holiday tree in time for the ceremonial tree lighting. The Altoona Hospital Campus, 620 Howard Ave., will conduct its festivities on Thursday, Dec. 4, while the Bon Secours Hospital Campus, 2500 7th Ave., will do so on Friday, Dec. 5.

Money raised this year will benefit the Partnering for Health Services medical clinic, which provides care to the working uninsured. The clinic is staffed by physician, clinical and clerical volunteers, as well as physician assistants, nurses and support staff.
